esd-toolkit provides definitions of National Indicators for measuring the impact of public services on localities. It relates indicators to the information esd-toolkit holds on relevant local authority work.

esd-toolkit acts as the main vehicle for local authorities to keep abreast with CLG’s Data Interchange Hub via regional meetings and an active online community in which CLG officers participate.

esd-toolkit gives you:

• local metrics on service delivery by each channel for measuring progress and identifying gaps
• benchmarking with other authorities (for example in service volumes by channel and customer profiles)
• cross-referencing of National Indicators against Local Government Service List (LGSL) services
• display of local authorities with targets for each National Indicator alongside information on their demographic similarity
• collation and analysis of NI 14 data on avoidable contacts
