File exchange provides secure storage for all electronic media within the esd-toolkit, including all varieties of text documents, spreadsheets, slide presentations, pictures, graphs, project plans and audio visual files. These are stored within the file exchange with flexible access options so that you can share files locally only within your organisation, or if you wish more widely with partners and external organisations. File exchange also provides simple indexing, searching and version control, including edit locking.

This functionality is only available to subscribed organisations, although registered and non registered esd-toolkit users can search and view documents that have been shared with such groups by the owner.

File exchange allows controlled document sharing between organisations, removing he need for attachments in e-mails and can be used by dispersed groups as a collaborate tool for policy and project development. File exchange is of interest and value to the whole spectrum of esd-toolkit users. It enables collaboration with partners via secure file sharing, providing an independent platform for joint working.
